LAS VEGAS, NV -- Intel officially announced at CES 2018 that its new 8th-Gen processors with AMD's Radeon RX Vega graphics are coming to market.

HWiNFO has released the changelog of its latest 5.7 version, and it lists several developments, including support for Intel's unreleased Ice Lake and Whiskey Lake processors as well as AMD's 400-Series motherboards.

Intel announced new Pentium and Celeron Silver processors. Intel issued a product change notification last month that outlined plans to change the existing Pentium lineup over to Gold branding, but today the company expanded the lineup to include Silver models and also unveiled six new processors.

AMD's Lisa Su announced during an MSNBC interview last week that the company tripled its processor sales this year during Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The company also experienced exceptional GPU sales during the same period.

AMD made a surprise appearance at Qualcomm's Snapdragon Tech Summit. AMD's Kevin Lensing, Corporate Vice President and GM of the Client Business Unit, announced that the company is partnering with Qualcomm to produce Always Connected Ryzen Mobile products.

In a product change notice, Intel stated that it will begin assembling Coffee Lake desktop CPUs at its plant located in Chengdu, China.

In an interesting turn of events, AMD announced that it's creating a semi-custom GPU for a forthcoming Intel Multi-Chip Package (MCP).

AMD posted its first profit in three years during yesterday's third quarter 2017 financial results. Highlights of AMD's banner quarter include a $71 million GAAP profit, which comes largely due to a 74% increase in its Computing and Graphics segment to $819 million.
